The Camden Brasserie was created, 25 years ago by two people with a mission to do something different. Uruguayan born Julio Turano with his knowledge of South American meats and cooking methods, and Karen Doherty, fresh from law school but with a passion for food and wine !

With Julios brother, Enrique, and Karens brother Ross they created a hybrid French style all day brasserie but with other dishes form around the world , most of which are still on the menu today.

Still a family business, Karen, her husband Paul, as well as Ross and Julio, when back from Uruguay look after the restuarant.

Discretely nestled off the high street, central to the ever popular Camden market since 1983 this much favoured haunt of locals, celebrities and politicians has the same approach it has become famous for – truly great meat and fish served with legendary pomme frites and simple seasonal specials to make up a menu that has something for everyone.

Settled in it's new contemporary location for 4 years now we offer cocktails and one plate meals to our weekday workers.

Weekenders and families are offered an all day breakfast and brunch, junior menu and crayon corner keep the kids amused as well as a wireless internet access for the grown ups.
